Travel to Sydney from Overseas

Conference attendees must apply for an entry visa to enter Australia. Different visa classes exist for temporary visitors, which are decided based on the country your passport is issued from.  Please scroll through the following visa determination pages to identify the type of visa you require and the process to apply for that visa (electronic or paper);

Please make sure your passport is up to date, you generally will not be able to travel to Australia if your passport has less than 6-months before it expires.

If you need an invitation letter to apply for your visa, please contact us after registering for the conference and we'll prepare one and send it to you..

9 March 2023 – Travellers entering Australia from China, including Hong Kong, and Macau

From 12:01am on Saturday 11 March, people travelling to Australia from China, including Hong Kong and Macau, are not required to show evidence of a negative pre-departure test for COVID-19.  For more information, see the Department of Health and Aged Care​.
